Flipside fanzine put on a Burning Man -style festival, in California's Mojave Desert at a location known as Jawbone Canyon for several years during the mid 1990s. It was much smaller and more localized than the actual Burning Man Festivals and often featured bands that Flipside put out on their own label. Pretty spotty as best... There's a great hardcore song on here by 76% Uncertain, and both Corrosion of Conformity and the Lemonheads contribute good tracks as well. Otherwise, nothing that spectacular. The Slapshot and the Circle Jerks stuff would have been better if they were not live songs (or at least better sound quality)... Like the other Flipside comp I've heard, this one has a bunch of weird sound bites between all the songs. Nice mix of bands (I'd never heard the Lemonheads' punk stuff before this - I'm glad they included that song), but overall disappointing.
